North-West Province is flat and brimming with wildlife and adventure for tourists. Mining and agriculture are big here too where platinum is found and sunflowers line the roads. The Hartebeespoort Dam is a primary water source for households, farms, factories and other businesses. Current research projects aim to determine its threats from pollution, exploitation and decreasing water supplies.
